Padang in the evening – Bengkulu-West Sumatra Ride 2009 – Part 7

In Padang we met with Grace and Ratih who joined us from here. But this evening we simply enjoyed the food and the view of “Padang in the evening”.

We started with the yummy Es Durian…. Some of us also tried the famous Es Tebak. But I prefer just to have “Es Durian Tok”.

We then have yummy Soto Padang not to far for our Hotel. Hm.. it was yummy…

While the rest took a rest, after the evening briefing (discussing tomorrow’s ride), I went out for an hour to see Padang in the evening.

This “Siti Nurbaya Bridge” really represents the “Minang Kabau” caracter as since it represent the simbol of this area. Can you guess..?🙂

A traditional boat sea harbour located not too far away from the bridge is quite exotic..

Some heritage building from the Dutch era were still used, but not too well maintained.

This Nurul Iman Mosque in Padang was also looked romantic and peacefull in the evening.

While this “Klenteng” at the China Town was nice and colorfull in the evening..

See our ride tomorrow exploring the beauty of West Sumatra in Part 8.
