Day 1 (12-09-2009): Bukit Tinggi – Harau Valley – Bukit Tinggi
Ok, this time we managed to skip (again) 3 days from the office and make use of the Independence Day long weekend to continue our ride from Bukit Tinggi to Banda Aceh. We have 15 bikes all together, that consist of 5 Ducati Multistrada, 6 Ducati Monster, 2 Ducati ST, 1 Ducati SS, and Samuel the Desmosedici Man, bring his GSX 1000.
Today, we flew by morning flight from Jakarta to Padang and directly went to Bukit Tinggi by car. This is a relaxing day. No rush and later we will only warm up the bike and ride to Harau Valley, not too far from Bukit Tinggi.
See the narcis team has started their action even from the Airport.
It was already lunch time when we arrived in Bukit Tinggi and we decided to went straight to Ngarai to eat the famous “Green Chili Duck” for lunch. Uh.. it was so hot..!! The local names is “Gulai Itiak Lado Mudo”.
The “Gajiboh” in that small simple restaurant is also so yummy.. You can imagine that those bunch of people then have their “Big” lunch before the ride.
These are the beautiuful view of “Ngarai Sianok” (Sianok Valley) taken just beside the yummy duck restaurant.
We then go back to the Hills (our hotel), and saw that the bikes are ready at the hotel lobby. Let’s warm them up and ride guys…
Harau Valley is located about 15 Km from Payakumbuh (about 50 Km from Bukit Tinggi). This is the route map.
Ok, stop taking pictures, lets’ go..
Took a short break and again, taking pictures…
Bona, “pulang kampuang…” Hahahaha…
We then continued the ride a bit and stoped at one of the waterfall at Harau.
Went back to the hotel, we then rode to Benteng for the dinner. Another small and simple restaurant which is famous with its “Pop Chicken” (Ayam Pop). I actually does not like such “Ayam pop” that much, but still i had a bid dinner with other foods available there.
Yuke…Please stop eating..!! I’m affraid you will be too full and can’t ride tomorrow.. Hahaha…:D
This evening I prefer to sleep immediately and take a rest since I need to wake up very early tomorrow and i need my full energy for tomorrow hard and long ride to Prapat.
To be continued in Part 2 Bukit tinggi – Prapat.
